2007
Pre-launch wordmark
Set in Gill Sans with Arial and Helvetica as fallbacks, this text-only wordmark appeared on the Hulu site from August 29 to October 22, 2007, during the service's invitation-only beta period. No symbol accompanied the lettering, and the treatment was strictly typographic.
2007–2014
Gradient launch logo
Launched October 29, 2007, the wordmark adopted a custom geometric sans-serif letterform rendered in a two-tone gradient green, lighter at the top and darker at the bottom. This version accompanied Hulu's public debut as an ad-supported streaming joint venture between NBC Universal and News Corporation.
2014–2017
Flat green
On November 19, 2014, Hulu dropped the gradient and shifted to a flat, solid green, aligning with the broad move toward minimal, single-color digital identity that characterized platform design in the mid-2010s. The letterform itself was unchanged; only the color treatment was simplified.

Cyan gradient
Timed to the May 3, 2017 launch of Hulu's live television service, the wordmark reintroduced a gradient and shifted the hue to a cooler cyan-turquoise. The color change was intended to signal the expanded product, distinguishing the live offering from the original on-demand service.

Current flat logo
In 2018 the gradient was removed again, returning the wordmark to a flat treatment in a brighter, more saturated green. London studio DixonBaxi built a comprehensive brand system around the existing wordmark in 2021, deriving the "Vessel" graphic device from the rounded U, and consolidating all brand typography to the Graphik family.
