1991–1993
Silicon & Synapse
Founded in 1991 by Allen Adham, Frank Pearce, and Mike Morhaime, the studio operated under the name Silicon & Synapse. The wordmark featured hand-style lettering alongside a cartoonish mascot, giving the brand a playful, informal character suited to a small startup.

1993–1994
Chaos Studios
Late 1993 brought a brief renaming to Chaos Studios, though no games shipped under that identity. The name was quickly abandoned after another company held the trademark, making this transitional mark one of the shortest-lived in the studio's history.

After Davidson & Associates acquired the company in early 1994, the studio was renamed Blizzard Entertainment. Artist Stu Rose designed the new wordmark, setting "BLIZZARD" in a custom uppercase face against a dark rectangular background, with "ENTERTAINMENT" in Gill Sans Bold beneath.

2010–2015
3D Blue Wordmark
A 2010 refresh replaced the dark rectangular field with a white background and introduced glossy blue lettering with a three-dimensional effect. The updated mark also added a voluminous silver underline, reflecting the visual style common to game industry branding at the time.
2015–present · current
Flat Blue Wordmark
The 2015 version flattened the three-dimensional treatment into a clean blue-on-white wordmark, removing gloss and shadow effects. The letterforms remained close to the 2010 revision, with refinements that aligned the mark with a broader industry shift toward flat, screen-optimized identities.
