2003–2005
Founding wordmark
Docusign launched in 2003 with a straightforward wordmark in a serif typeface, reflecting the document-focused nature of the company's early e-signature product. The mark conveyed formality appropriate to legal and contract workflows.

2005–2011
Blue wordmark
A revised wordmark introduced a blue color palette and a cleaner sans-serif treatment, moving away from the serif style of the founding mark. The shift signaled a more technology-forward positioning as the company expanded its platform.
2011–2012
Pen-nib mark
A pen-nib icon joined the wordmark in 2011, adding a pictorial element that referenced handwriting and signature. The mark made the brand more recognizable at small sizes as mobile adoption of e-signature tools began to grow.

Signature D
The 2012 identity refined the pen-nib concept into a stylized D with a cursive flourish, tightening the relationship between the letterform and the act of signing. This version carried the brand through its 2018 IPO on the Nasdaq.
2019–2024
Refined D
A 2019 refresh modernized the wordmark with a lowercase treatment and updated the D mark with cleaner geometry, while retaining the signature-curve device. The updated palette moved toward a deeper navy and the brand adopted a more consistent visual system across its growing product suite.

The Nexus
Unveiled in April 2024 alongside a repositioning as an "Intelligent Agreement Management" company, the mark called The Nexus pairs a capital D in red-orange with an overlapping blue form representing an agreement. The rebrand, developed in-house, signaled a deliberate break from the brand's historic association with e-signature alone.
