1942–1947
Wartime script
The mid-century Clorox wordmark used a rounded, hand-lettered script style common to consumer packaged goods of the era. This logotype appeared on bleach bottles as the company expanded distribution nationally during and after World War II.

1957–1972
Bold block lettering
A shift to heavier, more geometric block letterforms gave the brand greater shelf visibility as supermarket distribution widened in the postwar consumer boom. The treatment favored legibility over decorative detail.
1972–1987
Red oval mark
Clorox adopted a bold red oval containing the brand name in white, a format that became strongly associated with the product on retail shelves for over a decade. The oval device created a consistent, container-ready shape across bottle formats.

Corporate diamond chevrons
Introduced in September 2010 via a formal press release, the corporate parent mark added a stepped diamond-chevron device in blue and green alongside the full company name. The redesign separated the corporate identity from the Clorox consumer brand, reflecting the company's diversified portfolio of household product lines.

Simplified corporate mark
The Clorox Company refreshed its corporate wordmark in 2021 with cleaner typography and a streamlined graphic device. The update aligned the parent brand's visual system with contemporary corporate identity standards while retaining the blue-green color palette established in 2010.
