2004–2006
Zillow LLC wordmark
Founded in December 2004, the company launched with a plain text logotype spelling out "Zillow, LLC" in black and grey. No icon accompanied the name, reflecting its pre-launch status before the website went live in February 2006.
2006–2008
Z-house debut
With the public launch of the platform in 2006, a house-shaped icon split by a bold "Z" was introduced alongside the wordmark. The house was rendered in two tones, blue above and green below, establishing the real estate metaphor that would define the brand for years.
2008–2019
Refined Z-house
A 2008 update enlarged the house icon and wordmark, removed the ".com" suffix, and added the tagline "Your Edge in Real Estate." The two-tone house structure was retained, but the overall mark gained visual weight and a more settled proportion.

Blue arrow Z-house
In April 2019, Zillow replaced the bicolor house with a unified blue icon that placed the "Z" at the center of an arrow shape, while the wordmark shifted to a bolder, all-blue sans-serif. The change accompanied a broader identity refresh including new color, photography, and illustration guidelines.

Dark blue refresh
The 2024 update deepened the icon's blue to a darker shade and shifted the wordmark to black lettering, with minor refinements to the typeface. The core Z-house-arrow structure remained, with the changes aimed at improving contrast and readability across digital surfaces.
